My reflection is that I think that this boy is a normal boy but with his dad just serving in the army. I also think that he might just be struggling with a lot of things to do. Or he has no idea what to do. But i'm not to sure because i'm not into the book so much but when I read a little more I will know more.
I think that the conflict is that the Man vs. Self because the kid has to think a lot about things that is happening to him. But also I think that the kid might get through the whole thing later. But maybe he has other thing in his life that might be an obstacle for him but like I said I am not to sure because Im not into the book.
You may not know for sure yet, but if you have a prediction, you should still be able to find text evidence to support your idea. If there is no evidence, it is only a guess. You need to be able to prove your ideas!
